Hurricane Milton

Good Afternoon,
St. Lucie Public Schools AND SOMERSETS will be closed on Tuesday, October 8th through Thursday, October 10th due to Hurricane Milton.
Out of an abundance of caution, and to prepare our schools to shelter the public from a potentially dangerous storm, Hurricane Shelters at Fort Pierce Westwood Academy and Treasure Coast High Schools will open on Tuesday at 2:00 pm.
All after-school activities and childcare programs will be closed beginning tomorrow through Thursday.
These decisions were made based on the latest advisory from the National Hurricane Center and in coordination with the Emergency Operations Center.
We anticipate resuming normal operations on Friday, October 11th. Please check the SLPS website and social media for further updates.
