Erika Rains is the Principal and Co-Founder of the Somerset College Preparatory Academy; was the founding Principal of Somerset Academy St. Lucie, and is the founding and current Principal of Somerset Academy Bethany. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies and Human Development, major in Education and minor in English Literature from Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogate, TN. She also holds a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Barry University in Miami, FL. Erika is currently working towards her Doctorate at Nova Southeastern University, focusing on Instructional Leadership and Charter School Management.

Erika has been teaching grades 6 through 12 in FL since 2002, has served as team leader, extended day program director, and co-coach for Reading in a middle school, lead PCSP teacher in high school, and opened a Palm Beach County charter school as assistant principal.

As founder of Somerset College Prep Academy, Erika has developed the academy from conception to reality, to one of the highest performing schools in the county, and intends to do the same for Somerset Academy Bethany.
